Call for proposals now open
Finnish Academy of Science and Letters is participating in a seed funding program to initiate and strengthen bilateral cooperation in science, innovation and higher education in fields of excellence in Finland and France. Call for proposals is now open! Deadline is 25 January 2019.

Conference “Europe on Test: Narratives of Union and Disunion – the Nordic Perspective” is held in Helsinki 14 November. Registration open until 31 October. Conference is hosted by the Council of Finnish Academies. It belongs to a conference series managed by ALLEA.
Commentary on EASAC Policy Report 32
EASAC has released a commentary to re-emphasise its original points on the policy report “Multi-functionality and Sustainability in the European Union’s Forests”. The EU’s renewable energy ambitions: Bioenergy from forests is not always carbon neutral – and may even increase the EU’s carbon emissions.
